Forum Suggestion/Request
Hi Guys, I've been doing some research recently into the AA operated charter flights to Cuba and thought I would share them with everyone in case anyone else wanted to try them, but then I realised we don't really have anywhere to put that kind of thing in the forum except for "General". T...

It is grey. All the next gen aircraft are made of plastic, so have to be painted, hence the move away from polished metalWayne Szot wrote:From that real plane shot - it looks more grey than polished... I liked the shiney planes in the air. Now it looks dull.

I wasn't sure about the new livery at first, just from the images in the launch, but I must say that it looks great on the real aircraft. I'm also delighted to see they have kept a bit of the eagle in the logo.

Last night's storms
Hi Guys, I'm not sure if this interests anyone here, but certainly this side of real world airline operations really fascinates me. As many of you US residents will probably know, yesterday evening a huge line of thunderstorms developed from western Texas, stretching all the way across Kansas, easte...

I have been thinking about buying the 175/195 addon for a while and I just saw your message today so have saved myself quite a bit of money. Just in time!

FSX Trip ORD-PSP MD80 (Warning: Long + many screen shots!)
Hi Guys, After many years of stubbornly holding off and sticking with FS9, I have recently made the switch to FSX for the first time. This timing fit nicely with my move from the ERJ fleet to the MD80 Maddogs. After spending my first couple of trips out of DFW on shorter routes, learning the intrica...

Re: New DFW First Officer - Ben Hunwicks
Thanks guys, I have been waiting until I was ready to move on to the Maddog before completing the checkride. I have just about a dozen places left to go and then I will have been to all 148 ERJ destinations on the network. I shall complete those over the next couple of weeks and settle into the MD i...

Re: Happy Late Birthday, Ben
Thanks very much Harold. Unfortunately it was just a normal work day for me. It's nice to get warm wishes from AAV because I unfortunately didn't get any from either of the real AA crews I spoke to (the 71 and 159), they were just their usual grumpy selves!

Re: DFW to Sydney
How do these guys at Quantas do this day in/day out? Qantas have 6 B747-400 ER s, the only 6 passenger ERs in the world, and they have a slightly longer ranger than a regular -400. On an ultra long-range flight like this, they will use a reclearance-in-flight procedure, whereby the flight will be d...
