Another 64 bit Flight sim in the coming days

Post by Wayne Pierce »

FYI

Here is another 64bit flight sim coming soon. For those of you who use LM's P3D.

For those following along, so far ORBX has said that all the current scenery areas will import to the new P3DV4, and at no extra cost. Now we will see which other developers will follow suit.

So far FSUIPC is NOT supported.

Thanks for the news update Wayne. Looks like P3D has an advantage at his point. They are releasing a completed 64-bit version instead of a beta version like Dovetail is doing (unless X-Plane 11 is 64 bit and a full release).

X-Plane has been 64 bit for a while. 11 final was officially release a month or so ago.

Gents, This is not intended to be a sales pitch for the products shown, but... I am showing you as the simulators are getting better.

Here is the latest version of Lockheed Martin's P3dV4. I am using the Pmdg 747 in the test pictures. It is a heavy loader in the other versions of flight sim so to test it out here it is.
FSUIPC5 is available for the new P34. It is not compatible for any add on controls of the PMDG aircrafts, yet. I must use the default controls assignments I.e. yoke, throttle, rudder to set up my joysticks. All other FSUIPC5 functions work.
All the P3D4 released orbx scenery will work. FSDreamteam, Flightbeam. Fly tampa has patches for TNCM and YSSY. Latin VFR for KSAN
One of my favorite airplanes will work, the Aerosoft PBY They have already a P3dv3 patch out.
I have flown this for hours in Orbx,FTX scenery and not a burp of problems. No OOM, VAS problems are gone.
Of course you must have a computer to use this with higher RAM and good fast CPU and video card. I have 16 G-ram, Intel i7 3.5ghz, Nvidia 980 graphics.

As of now the PMDG 747, 777 are released for this P3D4. The 737 next week? and then the DC-6, Wahoo!
It is still new and the manufacturers are coming around to P3dv4.

These are pictures of a flight from KSAN to KPHX. I started in daylight and switched to night for the lighting.
The Colors are brighter, and the cloud shadows are crisp and darker. This is default sky and clouds for P3D4.
That is my story and I am sticking to it.

I noticed the AVSIM libraries recently changed their order to put P3D ahead of FSX in the drop down boxes. Indicates P3D traction in the market.

That is the way it should be  . I found some new liveries for my little 747 that look good.
