Welcome, James.
I think the following steps can help you:
1) Download Fspuipc from http://www.schiratti.com/xpuipc.html XPUIPC New Plugin for X-Plane, previously was XPUIPC.XPL ( check if you have the latest)
2) Copy the entire \XPUIPC subfolder into the \plugins subfolder. This is the route that I have in my PC, (E) I have the X-plane in SSD dedicated >X-Plane11>Resources>XPUIPC. This connects the simulator and FSACARS program.
3) Download the FSACARS http://www.satavirtual.org/fsacars/downloads.html
4) Download the AAVirtual FSACARS configuration files from the AAV member file downloads area aavfsacars.zip
5) Follow the instructions in the FSACARS readme file to install FSACARS 4.0.11
( you can check more in Mike´s post https://www.aavirtual.com/forum/viewtop ... 32&t=15538)
If you need more help contact with me via PM.
The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn't it be?--it is the same the angels breathe.

Just a note the step 3, at least in my browser (chrome) pops up the warning that site may be a 'phishing' one, thus not advisable for clicking on. I did not.
There are other places where the 'fsacars' appears to be available, but none of these seem 'official' or something in that fashion.
It is tricky these days with non open source software... Bad actors may hijack the good old software, inject whatever in it, and re-present it under very same benign title...
Maybe if someone here has a long-term functional and proven (if nothing but long term uneventful use) non-malicious copy, to share it here....

Thanks, Robert,
I followed the old download link (http://www.satavirtual.org/fsacars/downloads.html) it is the same in Mike´s post- https://www.aavirtual.com/forum/viewtop ... 32&t=15538. I don't know exactly why it's not safe now let me ask.

I have followed the link. I get NO warning of any kind I have downloaded it quite a few times on various computers and never had a problem.

You're OK.
I'll move a copy to our local download pages in a couple weeks when I do my next AAVirtual work session.

My DNS provider (opendns.com) claims the satavirtual.org is 'phishing site'... and blocks it (I mean I can get to it if I really want to)...

However, when I go and query the opendns.com on why it thinks so, there is no proper answer...

So ... something is definitely 'phishy'... but unsure where, is it my dns provider (otherwise highly recommending it) or the site itself...

Sorry for disruption, just being careful, bordering with digital paranoia....

Robert,

You can download the files, or wait two weeks for me to put them on the aavirtual.com website. Your choice. I believe the downloads at satavirtual.org to be safe. As long as all you do is download the two files, and scan them with your antivirus before opening, you will be safe.
