Rick, Ted, and I were all the same age, but Rick had the honor of being first in the new year to add that official 1-year anniversary badge to his jacket. There was a certain "comfort" being second then. That's one thing - actually probably the least insignificant thing - I miss about Rick except for the annual good-willed banter that centered around it. That was a hallmark of Rick - just being around him made things more enjoyable.

Yes, I do miss Rick and the banter we all had during our group flights. Rick came to Dallas a couple of times and we got together to catch up. He was such a nice guy.
