That's ok Murray. I did one of the checkrides, nailed all the necessities as far as crossing restrictions and navigational points. I was pretty happy with the flight and guess what? I totally forgot to start the recorder. Oops, had to do it all over again.

Could have been worse. It could have been the Commander or Retro checkrides.

The pre-start checklist says NOTHING about starting the AAV flight recorder!!! I checked!!!! LOL

The best lessons are the ones we relearn .. because they are obviously true. Some just have more practice at relearning.
