Happens every now and then but still pretty infrequent. FSX comes back in 5-10 mins if left alone. FSC will lose the connection but can be reconnected after FSX comes back.

It doesn't seem to be a problem with Flight Sim Commander. An underlying problem is Microsoft and the FSX not totally functioning correctly. My FSX will stop after a series of key strokes and either crash to desktop or stop for several minutes while it is thinking about crashing or keep going. FSC is linked to this and when the bond breaks FSC will freeze up also. It doesn't know where the plane is or what to do next. It needs to be restarted also, or if lucky reset the connection to FS on the menu bar.
This happens more than I would like it to. I have tried and made use of all the tips for stopping this, but like outhouses it happens. I use Flight Sim Commander as my navigator on a separate computer. It will still hang up when FSX goes has one of it Gran Mal seizures. It isn't physically on the same computer just connected via electrons.
What to do?

I dont know Wayne, but the problem is the connection between FSC - FSCUIP - FSX. Maybe FSCUIP?
What is your opinion?

Omar, When I use the FSC(flight sim commander) on my 2nd of the three computers I use for my cockpit and FS (flight simulator), I connect to it with WideFS from FSUIPC. It also connects with Active sky 6.5 on the same computer. There is no problem with the connection or the interface with FSX. It is doing exactly what it is suppposed to do. When the signal is lost between FSX and FSC then FSC just shuts down, actively. It is still running but is no longer connected. I don't have a problem with that It is an easy fix by sometimes just pushing the connect to FS button again or restart FSC in just a few moments. It only take away from the navigation for just moments. I see it as a electrical breaker being shorted out and one has to go manually reset it. This, again is Microsoft FS programing. It works ok right out of the box but as we put Addons and Payware aircraft on it then the stuff really goes haywire. That is life in the virtual world at work. :)
