From the Training Office:
In a first here,of hopefully a series of informational segments, different aspects of flying will be addressed.

Several checkrides have gone through the office with the question,"When do I turn, before or after the Navigation point".

These pages are from the Aeronautical Information Manual, AIM, from the FAA. And for those who will not read there are some pictures included.

The subject here this time deal with types of turns you make at navigational points.

Go forth and Fly.

Many FMS have the option to define a WP as FLY BY or FLY Over.

There are some critical APP and STARS where FLY BY or FLY OVER definitions
are mandatory due to obtacles near the center path.

SEQU airport RNAV APP charts are one of those examples.

Thanks Wayne
