I learned something new yesterday. In a virtual cockpit view, you can hold down the spacebar, then use your mouse to pan around and zoom. WAY easier and more accurate than my joystick hat with the +/- keys for zooming.
Maybe I'll get the PMDG 777 BEFORE the TrackIR after all.

I personally believe the 777 is a better use of the bucks than the track IR. I think this is one of those try before you buy items. One has to really like to use it or it sets on the shelf, like mine. There are many ways to view the cockpit, without getting dizzy from the head motion and then that causes vertigo and then the ole' pray to the porceline deity trick.
