FINALLY I am Airborne

Post by Wayne Pierce »

Finally, after having the MadoggX MD80-83-88 P3dV4 for months, I have successfully made a take off. Now we will see how to land it. I am going from ORBX KSAN to the new KPDX from Flightbeam airports. Wish me luck and a safe landing.

I really like the polluting engine smoke as modeled.

So what kept you in ground school so long? Complex pneumatics? Impossible to find overhead switches due to non-intuitive layout? Long trim? (What the heck is LONG trim???)

It was the non-RTFM and user-to-keyboard-interface-malfunction. I thought I knew it all by flying the PMDG Machines. Not !

Edit: I almost made the airport. I put the Otto Pilot on and went to cook my dinner and then got sidetracked, came back I had overflown my landing and then ran out of fuel on final.
I walked away from it though.

A yes, always fun to come back later than planned and find my plane circling the destination field at FL 370.

I've probably called my family a dozen times while out doing errands to say, "please push P on my keyboard."
