I bought myself a Christmas Present. The Quality Wings B787. This is the maiden flight for me after several starts and stops. It is going to take some getting used to as all the inputs are touch screen (with a mouse not for real). It has been CTD when I try to use the EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) so this time I didn't. It doesn't come up to my PMDG 777 though. I have dropped my FS back to P3Dv4.5 as several addons are not ready for V5 and won't be for at least a year yet.

No CTD in v4.5?

I did, as mentioned, have CTD when I had the A/C on take off, from a large Payware airport (Fly Tampa KLAS) and was flipping madly thru the EFB pages trying to figure it out for charts and what not. I really overtaxed the input of the computer while the flight sim was trying to obey my commands. I believe it wasn't the fault of the aircraft, more, it was my fault. I have it loaded in PV5. I am sticking to 4.5 for most operations.
Reasons: I have several payware aircraft which are not near ready for V5.(PMDG B777, DC-6). Some scenery effects programs are not made for and will not be made for V5. ie. Real Environment products. //42 immersion and //42 Precipit FX. and a few others.

I need to get a good heavy for my P3DV4 but I refuse to pay another $100 for the PMDG 777 (I purchased for FSX and it was GREAT). I caught a sale on the Captain Sim 777 and it's ok but nothing like the PMDG. Maybe the Quality Wings 787 is the way to go, but for now I'm not buying any new a/c because I think I will be moving to Microsoft Flight Sim sometime next year.

WOW, I've been really missing flying that a/c. Thanks for the tip, I will take a look.
