New Iron Butt award!!!!

I must correct an oversight on my part. Harold Henderson has passed the 2,000hr. flight time milestone. That's a lot of flying and a lot of seat time. Congratulations Harold on another great accomplishment. Keep it up and glad to be flying with you. (Good thing you have the special cockpit outfitted...

GFI 6/3/11 -- KMSY-KMCO

Had a great time on the GFI this past Friday. During the GFI Alex George-John and I decided to do some "formation flying."

Re: Saul Perez! May 2011!

Good shot Saul. It was a good contest and the first time I've ever come that close to winning. If I have to loose, I'm glad it was one of my DFW pilots that won. Congratulations.

Re: Rudder Pedals

Map your differential brakes to the right and left pedals respectively. Once you do that, if you press them both at the same time it will activate the regular brakes. Helicopters get A LOT easier too. ;) Already mapped left toe brake to left pedal brake, and right toe brake to right pedal. Problem ...

Re: Screenshot Conversation threads

Man, I was holding on there for a while, now I'm one down. Ok first time I've ever had a chance to win one of these things. What do I need to do to push this over the top? I know my DFW pilots are going to vote soon...

So you had to hand fly the entire trip? That's a bummer.

Re: Rudder Pedals

Petals make my taxing much easier (once I get use to them). I can now get small increments of turn instead of the "click a button and it turns 8 deg." Once I learn to brake without activating differential braking it will be outstanding. Now I need to try some crosswind landings with these ...

Re: Rudder Pedals

Wow! Purchased this Tuesday and opted for the free shipping which said 5 to 8 days. They got here yesterday (Thursday ) afternoon! Will not install until after the GFI tonight. Don't want to fly a new a/c (iFly 737NG) and deal with new pedals/drivers, that's asking for trouble.

Rudder Pedals

I'm ready to get a set of rudder pedals now and it will probably be Saitek. Looked at the Saitek Pro-Flight pedals and the Saitek Combat Flight pedals. Both seem good. Does anyone have input on the difference between the two products? Is it worth the additional $80 for the Combat pedals?
