Re: GFI KDFW-KSDF 10/22/10
Bert, I was flying the final leg of my FREQ tonight and saw you online, but you weren't alone. I saw Barry Theodore was trailing you into KSDF as you were on approach. I flew this one Friday and considered flying it again tonight but decided to complete my short bid (which was a reenactment of the R...

Re: GFI KDFW-KSDF 10/22/10
Rick Stevens (AAV409) and I (AAV580) thought we would be doing a duet but shortly after takeoff from Dallas Ted Stevens (AAV537) shows up. Then a few miles further down the airways, Arturo Caraval (AAV905) pops in, so we turned out to be a quartet. Hey, who's Ted Stevens? I'll have to remember that...

DFW Hub Mgr. OOO
I will be traveling all this week on business so expect some delay in getting your FREQ's and FREP's approved. I will have internet access but not sure how often I will be able to log in with everything that will be happening on the trip.

Re: FSACARS for AAVirtual
Jim, one thing you can do is look for a .dat file in your FSACars directory in Program Files. If there, it is the remainders of a previous flight not satisfactorily sent. I had a similar issue where FSACars was giving me a "...database error..." every time I attempted to file a completed f...

New Pilot at DFW - Jim Davis
The DFW hub grows one pilot larger. Help me welcome Jim Davis to AAV and the DFW hub. Jim joins us at the rank of Trainee, so he gets to enjoy the prop a/c for a short while.
Re: FSX MD82
There is another way to handle this problem so that any a/c that gets installed in the "aircraft" folder will also be recognized. Create the "aircraft" folder under the main FSX directory, then edit your FSX.CFG file as follows: ...look for the lines that begin SimObjectPaths. On...

Re: Pilot Handbook comment
During one of our GFI's a while back I got into a heated "discussion" with another pilot who was also a RW controller. He took serious objection to me using AA and went on to explain how wrong I was. I explained the agreement between us and AVA but he was too thick headed to understand the...

I agree with Bert - LevelD 767. I have this a truly enjoy flying this one. However i don't have Captain Sim 757 so I can't compare.
