Re: Tom Pletzke retirement

Thanks guys. I am going into retirement but I enjoyed every minute of American Airlines Virtual. X-Plane is my simulation of choice but the competition is very good now with P3Dv4. Both are looking good. I like x-plane and xenviro. But P3Dv4 is looking good too.

I wish you all the best,

Tom

Re: X-Plane usage for AAV

I only use x-plane. I like the scenery much better in x-plane especially the moving cars at night.

Re: X-Plane usage for AAV

x-plane is my choice for flying. I bought an ERJ-175 xcraft recently and I am really enjoying it. Little bit of a learning curve for the radio and navigation but it is a great plane so far.

Re: Flight at KPTK

Yes, he did. But he did handle the throttle and was right there with hands on just in case. He also asked me a lot of questions before the flight about my simulator experience and my knowledge of the instruments when we jumped in the plane. I'm sure if I did not follow a good path down he would have...

Flight at KPTK

Hi Everyone, Had my first real flight experience. My son gave me a fathers day gift of a discovery flight at KPTK. I did much of the work from startup, taxi, takeoff, navigation, landing, and shutdown. It was very cool to feel the air while steering. First thing I learned was you steer with one hand...

Re: May Screenshot contest Winner.

thanks everyone. So far I have really enjoyed xplane11. I have not ventured away from the 738 but I did load a couple of purchases from xplane10 and they look good in 11. There are no add-ons, this pic was xplane11 out of the box including the livery and 738 all out of the box. One note, there is a ...

Reminds me of the movie Sully with Tom Hanks. It is a great aviation movie.
