Just got back from vacation to Cali. Yeah it's the warm weather probably. Unless you're in the upper Midwest and are sick of winter.

Re: ERJ APU procedures
Wow Greg,
Thanks for the nuts and bolts...basically if you encounter an approach (high winds, icing, precip/freezing) you would want to start the APU as an auxiliary bleed air source. But if it's sunny, light winds, scattered clouds temp 66...you could do without APU until taxi in to gate?

Re: Quality Wings 757
Just got the QW 757. I did a lot of hemming and hawing over which payware 757 to buy. CS (I guess) is ok, but the modelling is not great, kills the frame rates, and you have to purchase additional liveries. NO GO for me. PSS 757 didn't make it either in my book. Took the QW 757 up for a spin the oth...

Re: Recurrent training
See??? I knew we could get some real great feedback on this issue!!! :o Keep 'em coming, some of our fellows may not know or are beginning to digest this. Great to hear from the training dept (Wayne) on this, yeah, it would definitely put a strain on you. Think of dozens, if not, hundreds of pilots ...

Re: Recurrent training
Good evening, I'm on board with Wayne, making it .04. Seems as though new(er) pilots have difficulty with the upgrade checkrides. Anyone consult the RW FAA/airline regulations? I too, have a RW job and house to take care of alone. On the other hand, it's a novel idea, especially for an individual co...

Re: MD-80 Proficiency, finally
Alright kids, class is in session! LOL..I too have acquired the MADDOG 80, like I said before it will deserve some attention. It seems we have a groundswell of engine starting problems for the old lady. Hot starts, ugh, they happen...Pete Gill is on to something, if your EGT gauges are above 90 or s...

Re: That crazy California ATC....
You know, I sometimes get this also in FS9. I have a few cures for this: A. move your traffic slider down a couple %age spots. B. If you are experienced with adjusting AI traffic plans, change about 5 to 10 percent of your total AI flight plans to a value higher than your current traffic slider sett...
