I logged on to fly with you guys. Most were in the air already. Delivery was very busy. Finally got airborne after about thirty minutes...and FSX crashed on me. First time I had a crash this year. So I quit. I ended up playing around with the super 80 pro as I've had the plane since last year and have not yet mastered it. Just working on VNav now.

Man, Salt Lake City was BUSY this evening. Some of us got out a little ahead of the crowd and didn't get bogged down like the others. Unfortunately, I had a camera malfunction and didn't get it working until we were already at our destination. And I missed the shot that would have won the Nobel Peace Prize (I figure if Al can get one, they'll give em to anybody)! It was the race to the runway between Rob Shepherd and Sergio Sanchez. Actually, it was a race to the intersection as Rob was landing on a crossing runway. Anyway, Rob won safely, and I had the shot as he rolled through the intersection looking back at Sergio approaching the threshold and Damien Seals on approach behind him.

So, my apologies to all, I won't ask for re-enactments so I can get the shots. Once through that SLC mess was enough.

Below is a shot with six of us at KFHU. The 767 is Damien, the 727 is me, the 80 past me is Wayne. Rick, Sergio, and Rob are mixed in there (those MD80s all look the same).

and parked with those that are left. Seems we picked up a helicopter or two.

For those that got caught in it, the ground traffic at SLC was like a super highway. Once out of there, the ride was pretty good. Had good ATC until we neared our destination and then we were on our own. Most behaved. And I did not get a speeding ticket.

Overall, a very enjoyable GFI to a destination I had not flown to before. Good pick, Wayne.

Awsome pics as usual Harold... Was REALLY looking forward to the "Race" to the intersection pic...Hehehe... Had a great time, I just wish I knew that TS v3 didn't work with v2 server.
