I haven't seen that message, yet. I just was installing a new USB headset and it required me to reset the computer recording and playback values in the sound menus for the computer itself. SB4 would not recognize what I had done until I set the computer straight and got it working there first. That may be a problem you have. Check your computer sound recording and playback settings and make sure they are acutally where they should be and then look at the SB4 options and see if the settings match. I know if something isn't correct the computer hangs.
