After much deliberation and a few years of work, we have finalized the release date for the PMDG 737NGX.
As of this point, I am superseding any previously announced released dates with the following information: The NGX will be released when it is finished.
It may release this week.. I might release in 2014.
You will know when it is released because we'll tell you.
If anyone would like to complain about the fact that creation of this incredibly feature rich product is taking longer than planned, please let us know and we'd be happy to provide you with an unmonitored email address to which you may air your displeasure.
Sounds like people should look to another developer and tell them when their bank account is finished because nobody bought their product.

That's a load of crap. The more I think about it the madder I get. I don't even care if they release another product or not. I won't be buying anything else from them. I will be sticking with FS9 for some time to come anyway. I refuse to support a business that treats their customers with such disrespect. Once they made the 747 they started liking their products way too much anyway. I never did get their MD-11 and after seeing that comment they won't be getting another red cent from me.

I've been thinking about this on and off all day. I'm going to speculate that PMDG announced their release date as early as they could in order to keep prospective customers waiting and increase sales. Now it's taken so long they are losing those customers, getting lots of upset emails and forum posts, and they don't know how to handle it.
My very personal opinion, not to be confused as that of AAV, is not to support this software package at all. I'm a happy owner of their previous 736-739, the Beech 1900 C and D as well as the 747. They are all great software packages. However, this is a hobby in its most basic description and we as customers support businesses who provide quality products that add to our enjoyment of the hobby. I cannot, in good conscience, purchase this product knowing the level of disrespect that the developer now has towards me as a customer. If I were to buy it I would be reminded of that attitude every time I loaded the aircraft. I supported and helped to put this developer in the position that it is in and I can just as easily support and help them come back dowm off that pedestal they think they're on. This is a fun and family-oriented hobby and there is no room for that type of attitude or behavior. I'm perfectly happy flying another 737 and thankfully I have that option. / .02 cents

I dunno guys...their products are pretty stellar. It would be hard to not want to buy this product from a flight simmer enthusiast perspective. I'm sure the price of it will be the highest we've seen from them, you know to match their new found smugness. Either way, I can not say I wouldn't purchase it (except i'm sure my wife will tell me no once she sees the price). If this statement was coming out of no where and out of the blue, I would be more inclined to "bash" them. This is merely a response to the kids in the backseat asking, "are we there yet?" repeatedly, every five minutes, 24 hours a day. He just said what he really wanted to say instead of being P.C. Well that's all for now. My 4 year old and 2 year old are yelling at me for attention...seriously.
I have to go along with Bert and the others. I need a 737 a/c and would like to have a PMDG since I've never had one of their products and I've heard nothing but good things about it. However, if that is the statement that truly came from a member of their team I can't in good conscience buy their product and thus condone this behavior. Rey you are correct that it is a reaction to people asking every day when it will be released but if you are selling a product you must control your actions (if you want to continue to have customers).
