I'll give you a hint: you're supposed to hit the altitude and speed restrictions manually, not let Otto do it. LOL

I did both the EURO I and EURO II in the Wilco series. These aircraft do however take some programming, they are very different from the Boeing series. I also believe they perform differently in FS9 to FSX. I did my flights in FS9. I found there was a lot of trial and error until I eventually got the aircraft to perform how I wanted it. I found the tutorial flight to be just useful enough but a number of vital steps were not shown. I intially found I could not control the speed or the altitude. I also purchased the "Eric Marciano" upgrades. But I am not sure these are really necessary.
Maybe we could do a flight online together some time, we could communicate via Teamspeak, where I may be able to help sort out some of your problems.

Same here. I had to do the descents in manual a/p mode controlling the initiation and v/s. I couldn't get the Wilco a/p to do it right.

You ruined it Jeff!!!! LOL :P

I've had the Euro II on my desk for an embarrasingly long amount of time now too and I just can't get a scAirbus that will work for me. Maybe we could schedule a scAirbus only GFI one weekend and try to work out some of the issues we're all having.

Hi Wayne
I think this can help to u.

You can visit this video for differences btwn Boeing and Airbus and FMGC : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiBv0uPe ... re=related
And many tutorials, in my own opinion very good, from this youtube user: http://www.youtube.com/user/ouchpotato31#p/u

If you need more help send me an e-mail.

Happy New Year to you and all the pilots in AAL.

Omar
The air up there in the clouds is very pure and fine, bracing and delicious. And why shouldn't it be?--it is the same the angels breathe.

I dont like FMS programm descents for Wilco A 320. They use too high v/s.
Always I do the descents in manual a/p mode controlling the initiation and v/s.

Happy Hollidays

Ditto...

I did the Euro I and II in the Wilco series and I manually initiated almost everything with the A/P. In the Euro II flight the A/P would lose all programmed FMS waypoints on my downwind route to the rwy. I had to incorporate a lot of pilotage in the final phase of that 'ride...

LOL. Yes, Wayne, you gave away the whole ball of wax. We really do expect our pilots to know their equipment, its limitations, and how to make it do what is required (if it is safe to do so).

What's the point in the checkride now that the BIG secret is out.
