I was in the same predicament not so long ago. I had been flying the POSKY, but the panel left much to desired. Go with this (for what it's worth): If you don't care so much about cockpit detail, but still want the long haul adventure, stick with a POSKY model/texture. Be advised there are numerous 777 model updates from POSKY, but not too difficult to install. I would also d/l a decent 777 sound (check flightsim or avsim.com) and replace with the default sound folder.
If, however, you are like me and want a working FMC and VNAV/LNAV climb and checklists and APUs and etc. etc., I would recommend the PSS 777 from Justflight.com. If I lost you with FMC and LNAV/VNAV, then stick with a good POSKY model, but upgrade the sound for sure. There are some 777 freeware panels out there, but I grew tired of them, wanted more challenge.

I use the PSS 777 and I've been very pleased. It didn't come with much of a checklist, but the panel is very similar to 767, so I use a slightly modified version of my Level-D 767 checklist. All the Boeing FMCs are about the same, so if you already know how to fly one of those, it will speed up your training dramatically.

Is the POSKY model better? Yes, I guess so. The trick is, to "merge" POSKY model and texture to work with PSS panel. I wanted the extra model details (pushback tug, stairs, etc.) but wanted the extra cockpit switches and detail. Problems? You bet, I did find a work around but it's quite involved. It's called 'merging", similar to traffic. You want the nice detailed a/c, but the payware panel makes the POSKY model act crazy. You can google it, just type in POSKY/PSS (Bxxx or MDXX) merge; you'd be surprised.
