Christopher Dahlquist wrote: On a similar note...I am assuming that to use the 732 for AAV purposes I need the retro certification...fine and dandy.....but on that subject, how do we pick routes for our retro equipment? I know some retro timetables are available, but what about for others?
Ie....what routes can I pick for a DC-6, or (heaven forbid)...a ford trimotor?
What routes for my new 732.....a 727....etc etc?
Chris. Once you have earned the Retro endorsement via the checkride from our ever so loving checkride pilots, you may fly the retrograde aircraft that falls within your paygrade and fly them as the aircraft of choice for your FREQ's.

The retro routes are there for the diehard retro fans to use.

See the POH for requirements for holding the Retro endorsement.

Then your question is not understood. I thought I answered it. You can fly your FREQ or routes with any past AAL aircraft once you hold the Retro endorsement. Simple as that.

The retro timetable was set up using what timetables are still available from the past using what equipment there was on it. All the entries were hand typed into the system which took myself and several others, hours to do. Only the DC3, DC6, 707, airbus AAL routes were available. We are looking for any AAL MD-11 timetable to transfer.

You would think that if all 120 of us hit some garage sales we would find some in a dusty old box.
