Think he is saying this is a better spot than Founders Plaza when the winds are from the west!Sergio Sanchez wrote:Wayne, If you are referring to the point shown as B in your map, Founders Plaza was relocated to the north west side of the airport.
Looking at your map, would be the gray extension where it says N. Airfield Drive, near the threshold to 18R
Still is an amazing spot

I'm going to have to try Wayne's spot out as well.
Is your spot for 17C on airport property as well? You should see a lot of traffic (AA as well as others) from that spot since they land 17C most of the time.

Yes, when I saw the picture I was surprised there was any way to get that close to the runway nowadays.

Was referring to the spot you used for watching landings at the end of the runway on your map.Mitch Haughee wrote:Theodore Martin wrote:Yes, when I saw the picture I was surprised there was any way to get that close to the runway nowadays.
Were you refering to my photo of the 737 at the start of the topic? That was taken from Founders Plaza. My guess is they don't like people being close when they can't see you on all the cameras. This place I pointed out was not really any closer than Founders Plaza, but they don't have all the security cameras there like at the plaza. Oh well, we use the southbound runways more anyways!
