Chris, when making a long flight which will have more than the arrival airport, you may;

Take the total time, and file manually with the push back to brakes off at your final destination.

Or, file an FSACARS report for each leg and then edit the FREP in the comments section that this is " Leg one of XXX"
Your HUB manager will then know what you're up to. Send him an e-mail to state your intentions.

This was one answer about this on another post. 3rd post
When you complete flights that have 2 or more legs you have the option of flying and reporting them separately or flying direct. (Provided that the aircraft has the range.) When flying them separate you should file a FREP for each segment (takeoff and landing) using the same flight number and noting in your comments "Leg 1 of 2", "Leg 2 of 2", etc.

A barren thread from a long since deleted pilot I see. LOL

It will let you file twice with the same flight number. I've done it before. What I'm not sure about is whether or not FREP approval matters. Meaning, if you file AAL123 Leg 1 of 2 and your HM approves it before you file AAL123 Leg 2 of 2, I'm not entirely sure if it will allow that. I do know for certain that you can file them both prior to the first leg being approved. Did that make any sense at all? LOL

FSACARS will support filing the same flight number for multiple legs as you outlined in your example Chris. When I was a hub manager I would wait until the final leg was reported before approving any of the legs. This way it was a reminder to me that this flight was a multiple leg flight. The FREP system will allow a multiple leg filght as a single leg in your bid and will apply the hours appropriately.

As others mentioned, be sure to note this to your hub manager so he is aware.

Interesting! I had to make a connection in Shannon once. Nice little airport. I wonder what the fuel calculation looks like though.

Edit: I couldn't find much info on an A318CJ but a.net has some info on the A319CJ which has auxiliary fuel tanks in the containerized cargo hold. I can only imagine the smaller brethren has a similar setup. The refueling stop at Shannon is only because of weight and London City's short runway. I don't know if there is an A318 for FS with the fuel capacity and FDE to make that flight. One could always use "unlimited fuel" but that takes away half the fun I guess.

Both FSACARS and the web-site FREP submission support separate reports for multi-leg flights. If you file in FSACARS, use the "Edit FREP" button the left side navigation menu to update the FREP comment with "Leg 1(or 2) of 2".
