Headset recommendations

Post by Rey Ramon »

Curious what everyone uses for communications on VATSIM. Currently I'm using an old school type usb single ear headset/mic boom combo. I like to have my normal sim sounds coming out of PC speakers with ATC only via my headset. It's a very basic setup with not the best audio quality, but I guess I prefer this way for the sake of realism. What is everyone's preference? All sim/ATC audio via a high quality headset or something similar to my setup?

I do the same thing Rey, but 1/8" plugs, not usb.

Works great til my granddaughter pulls it out too hard. $20, I think.

I am the same way. I like to have my a/c and flight sounds coming thru the speakers, and having ATC come thru the headset only. I recently broke my USB headset and had to revert back to my headset with the mini-plugs which does not allow me to split the sounds. I'm shopping for a new USB or bluetooth headset.

Very similar with a headset except all sounds through speakers. All input through headset mic.
