I didn't get as much prep done after work this week as planned, but.... the family is going out of town next weekend, which gives me LOTS of uninterrupted time.
How about a Saturday afternoon GFI to complete Rick's FREP, say 2:00pm or 3:00pm PDT on 9/17/2016?

That sounds fine by me.

Anyone else care to join in?

If the boss is flying I'll be there or be square. That will be a first for me in 12 years here.

My log says it's only been 7 years. If I get a bunch of you watching, I'm going to get nervous and fly upside down.

Sounds like a party. Think I'll show, too.

Flying upside down just means you'll fit right in with the rest of us.

I put 2:00pm PDT in the caledar. For GFIs is that usually meet up, contact ATC, or push back time?

The time in the calendar usually means wheels up but you're the boss. It can mean whatever you want it to.

I understand we all have lives in the RW but I'm hoping a week's notice for a one-time special event may motivate some of you who may not be able to attend group flights regularly. There was once a time when we could gather double-digit attendance to group flights and great times were had by all (except maybe those who were heckled for landing short or crashing on final
). I would love to see us do that again at least once a year. If that were to be Rick's legacy to the group it would be very fitting. Even if you don't participate in the forums for whatever reason, I am sure the rest of the regulars would be very appreciative if more of our pilots could gather and share in an afternoon of flying and fun.
