SAVE JOE!
Gentlemen, This is what we will be up against in our search for Joe Crankshaw, Whom is supposedly vacationing in Alaska this week. I have enlisted the aid of the U.S. Coast Guard in our search. Be ready for anything. Cold weather and wet OPS training needed for your crew.

Sad news guys. I contracted for the C130 but the CG said Joe wasn't worth the expense, so this is what I am getting for the money.. What Next?

Will be there with my PBY but looks like I'll still be in Vista 64 for this one - haven't even started trying to install FSInn. Using Win7 for FSE flights and slowing loading a/c.

Fair turnout - but definitely quality. John Moore (AAV280), Rick Stevens (AAV409), me (AAV580), Sergio Sanches (AAV742), and Wayne Pierce (AAV783). All but Rick opted to fly the C130. He chose some foreign bird ... more on that later.

Here, I'm waiting behind Wayne.

Didn't have Alaska colors for Rick, so I put him the best colors I had for that flavor of Airbus.

Off and on Rick reported some difficulties with this Airbus, but he hung in there and applied some of those excellent pilot skills we learn here at AAV and nursed this baby all the way to the finale.

The weather was so bad I didn't even see runway lights until about 2 miles out.
