For VATSIM flight plans the only thing you really have to know is the routing with the SID/STARs and airways. There is no requirement for most of the other stuff you see on this flight plan. The aircraft codes are generated by squawkbox or FSInn in most cases. The aircraft suffixes (i.e. B738/F, etc.) can be found here. As for the wake turbulence codes, they are not used on VATSIM, but the controllers have to be familiar with them. They can tell by the type of aircraft you are flying whether it's A, B, or C category wake turbulence (i.e. small, medium or heavy) and how far to keep you separated from other traffic.

To find out the preferred routing I use flightaware.com for domestic routes and international routes which originate in the US. For all other routes I have vroute.info which has been pretty good for me so far.

Hope that helps you some.

I make a few mistakes, edited to correct those, sorry....I tried to go off memory alone and then checked our flight ops manual.

N0360F350= 360 Knots TAS at FL350

SCEL1600= Proposed departure time of 1600 UTC

OPR/CDA= Operators ICAO code is CDA

C550/L-SDW/C= AC type/ Wake Class = L (Light) Equipment= S standard (VHF, RFT, ADF, VOR, ILS), D=DME, W=RVSM/ C=Transponder type

SCVL0120 SCVD SCTC= This one is tricky. SCVL is the destination. 0120 is the flight time scheduled 1hr 20 min, SCVD and SCTC are the filed alternates.

Hope this helps
Cheers
