The purpose of the Euro 1 and 2 checkrides is to familiarize pilots with european flight procedures, charts and Airbus aircraft. They don't provide any additional flying privileges as they are not required to fly into or out of european airports. In order to fly the codeshare routes you generally have to be a senior captain, however AA has a number of routes to / from London in mainline aircraft that are available to Captains and above. All this is in the Pilot's Operating Handbook.
