Re: 2 Leg Routes? Checkride hours?

First Question:
I saw a post by the ORD HM discussing 2 leg routes and then I searched our time table. I found flights such as AA1074 which is listed twice. Once as KSEA-KDFW and another time as KSEA-KATL. I'm assuming this is one of those 2 legged routes... How are we supposed to officially fly those if we want to go to Atlanta in a FREQ? Should I land and refuel at DFW and then file two FREPs or just go all the way straight with one FREP?

Second Question:
When advancing through the ranks of AAV I realize that you need a certain hour minimum in order to qualify for the next checkride. Do previous VA hours count towards the total required for the next step or is it all based off of AAV hours. Thanks!
