Blueprint Simulations released a new KDFW scenery yesterday for FS2004 and FSX. Check it out at http://www.blueprintsimulations.com/BluePrint_KDFW.html

I plan on picking up the FS2004 version later this weekend. If anybody beats me to it let us know how it works out. :D

I bought the FS9 version of the scenery and I have to say, based on the comments that have already been made, that I wasn't expecting much. Honestly, I don't see major differences between this scenery and the freeware FRF-studios scenery available on avsim. The plus side is that I think the gates are more accurately located and assigned. The minus side is that they could have done a LOT better for a payware scenery. The textures are pretty bland all around. The aprons and runways use default texturing which was a real let-down for me. For $25 they should be offering both the FS9 and FSX versions together. My recommendation: Stick to the freeware FRF-studios scenery unless you just have $25 to blow away.

This was FS9 running in Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. The desktop is a Dell XPS Studio with an i7 processor, 4GB RAM and an nVidia video card which I can't remember the specs for right now. The sliders on FS9 are all maxed out. Framerates were alternating between 21-29.9 (locked at 30)

Here are some pictures from my last flight from KDFW-KORD. The surrounding terrain is Ultimate Terrain-USA. After landing I went back in a whirly bird to take some more screenshots:

In my case it's default FS9 scenery. The airport scenery doesn't reach out that far.

These scenery pics are for FSX. Three different files I have here all depicting the Terminal D.
Only the Blueprint one models all the gates terminals after the real ones. Yes I have it and I don't mind paying for something I use and enjoy.

One should check AVSIM. It only takes a moment.
