Thanks Chris. Fixed the typo. I'm not sure what you mean in your second comment.

You can easily update your serveinfo.dat file to change the URL linked to AAL\AA. You can also post this updated serveinfo.dat file to the avsim library. Here's a quote from this page of the serveinfo web site:
Database Issues

If you find any errors in the ServInfo Database, or you want to add any missing information regarding airlines, airline logos, airports, FIR and countries information, in most cases it is possible to make the modifications yourself. There is a relevant topic in the FAQ page that explains how you can do that.

In case you make any modifications/additions that you want to share with the flightsim community you can upload them to any file library, like the AVSIM File Library.
There is no need to get any permission from me, so please dont e-mail me for that.
But please make sure that your upload is presented in a proper way, which means that it clearly states that it is a database update and does not give the impression of a "new ServInfo" version. Also do not include my name in the authors field.

The file is servinfo.dat. Found mine in the c:\servinfo folder. Easy fix.

Thanks, Mike.

We could also put our version in our file download area if someone sends it to me.

During one of our GFI's a while back I got into a heated "discussion" with another pilot who was also a RW controller. He took serious objection to me using AA and went on to explain how wrong I was. I explained the agreement between us and AVA but he was too thick headed to understand the logic. Told him I was glad he didn't control online because I would not fly in his area.

It all comes down to this folks. There's no requirements regarding callsigns on VATSIM. You can use whatever you want. Feel free to share that fact with the other pilots and controllers. If they have a problem, tell them they should ask VATSIM senior management and then get back to us if there's been a change in policy since we last checked.
