Well from this left coast fella in the southwest as far as you can go in the 48 contiguous US, I need some floats for my aeroplanes.
It hasn't been too bad. I am not in a flood plain, but fairly level ground. We usually get, maybe, before global warming started 9" of rain a year. Last year it was 13" this year so far 9" and all in this past month. My computer room floor sets almost level with ground level and I have spent the last day trenching a moat and get some sandbags to keep me from floating away. Now some of you whom live in the wet places might say so what, it happens all the time. This is not the normal here and the news media is really making a big deal out of it. It is just water. :-) What actually makes this weird is just two weeks we had 90+ temps.

This is the current rainmap.

The outside of my computer/flight room. The water standing is what is left after most of it soaked in. I just put in 10minutes before this picture an extra gutter downspout to run the water away from the building.

The ground is saturated at my house. All the low spots are now pools. The house is high enough that it should be OK and the new roof I had put on 2 months ago is handling the rain quite nicely.

Traffic at KCRQ (one of the busiest, if not THE busiest small airport in California, and just outside my office window) has been switching directions frequently. It's kind of spooky to hear biz-jets going missed approach over my head but not being able to see them.
