Miami Hub Closed!

I thought this was a joke when it came over email and the company freq, but when I read it was Tom Pletzke's birthday today, then it became clear.
As the Miami Hub Manager, he presides over a pretty rowdy and wild bunch of pilots. I mean, just look at the roster - Arturo Carvajal, Vince Tarquini, Logan Wicks, Richard Zeph ... need I say more? Tom's a pretty stand-up squared away kind of guy, but you have to wonder a little at the kind of pilots he attracts down in Miami. Then again, maybe he's trying to rehab these guys?
Anyway, no one knows what these guys have planned for Tom today, so in the interest of the flying safety of the public, and with Tom's concurrence, it was decided to close the Miami hub for today with an option for only a half-day's operation tomorrow - just in case something happens like three years ago.
Tom, I know you reported to management going into seclusion trying to escape "the boys of Miami." However, the emergency contact phone number you gave, 305-379-0508, rings to "The Vagabond Nightclub and Lounge". Hiding in plain sight, huh?
Have a great birthday, Tom. Hopefully, your crew won't find you there waiting for them.
Unfortunately I won't be there for the celebration, you know how unreasonable some of our management types are. They wouldn't let me do an emergency divert to Miami last night on AA2495, DFW-LAX.
