Hi Harold,
I have just downloaded it and it looks great. No problems with the installation on windows 7 64 bit and FSX.
I have been an avid supporter of IFly and have been using the FS9 ( on XP) version for some time so I have been looking forward to this upgrade to FSX.
I don't think they have AAV textures yet, but I believe they do have Alaska Airlines.
Interesting they have "normal" and "wide screen" versions and you select which one you want. This feature I have not seen on any other product.
I am in the process now of downloading the add on textures.
One thing they do have is an active support network, if you have a problem it will be attended to straight away not like some other payware aircraft.
All in all I love the product and would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone.
Besides, the FMC is easy to program and regular AIRAC updates are available through Navigraph.
Go get, you won't be dissapointed.

Well here is my take on the aircraft.
The outside detail textures need much improving for those of us whom are used to the detail of Capt Sim and mcphat.

Not a real good advertisement for IFLy if they try to sell for the detailed exterior.

A big problem at least for me is the realistic autopilot shut off when you touch the yoke. I breathe on the Yoke and it shuts off the autopilot. I use my yoke buttons for PTT, viewing control, sleeping on, etc., the answer on the forum is to use CTRL-K and shut off the joystick/yoke so it won't shut off the autopilot. I had to remap my yoke from FSUIPC so I could shut if off useing the keyboard. I don't like that. (whine)

I like the cockpit VC and the config program with which you can change the cockpit look in flight.
The 2D cockpit is arranged nice so that you can zoom out an see the world in front of you.

This is a good stopgap betwee the feelthere 737 and the PMDGeearetheyevergoingtorelease aircraft, but kind of expensive for the lower end quality of the outside.

The Flight sim commander 9 is set up for IflyB747, which it will make a flight plan in that folder in FSX, even though it is a FS9 product, but is easily copied to the Ifly FSX folder for fightplans.

The Navdata is up to date now and they say Navigraph will update it thru their data.

I am sure more will come about the aircraft.

Bought it. Installed the Alaska livery for the 739 and made one, all manual, circuit last night. "Felt" pretty good.

Purchased last night and installed. Have not had opportunity to do a flight yet. Will do that tonight.

This is something new for my type of "flying". Using the IFR panel totally, almost. The Ifly 737 has this mode in it and I open up a window to fiew up front, like a periscope on the "Spirit of ST. Louis".
This is sort of "fun".
I had to increase the Null zone on my Yoke to allow for not shutting off the autopilot's functions during flight. I used the CTRL-K Yesterday and forgot about it when I was landing and had no controls, by the time I realized it the crash occurred already. I walked away from it. This aicraft is getting better the more I fly it.

Yes Wayne, I was going to suggest the "null" change, I had to do it on the previous FS9 version.
I have made a change in my "panel.cfg" file. I fly in windows mode which leaves the task bar across the top, this goes over the "panel_selector", I also use "Shift Z Z", plus for those with failing eyesight this panel may be a little small, so here is my change:

[Window09]
background_color=0,0,0
size_mm=143,250
position=0
visible=1
ident=10190
zorder=20

gauge00=iFly737-900!Panel_Selector, 0,60,143,150

I haven't done a flight yet, maybe tonight to finish off my current FREQ. You see, the auto FREQ gave me 10 Alaska flights so I may have to do the same one again until an AA livery is available. There was a comment about the AA livery somewhere in their forum but of course I can't find it now. Something like AA would not be happy if they had their livery, so we will have to wait until someone does one.

Yes, Navigraph now have updates for IFly.

There is a lot of activity on their support forum, which I guess is expected with a new product.

Sergio Sanchez wrote:if anyone points me in the paintkit direction, I may try to paint the AA bird

Sergio, looking at the forum and files I believe there is not a paint kit, yet.

This F1 site http://library.flight1.net/?category=1 has files that I have not seen before. According to what I read on the forum, the AA livery was not made due to copywright, proprietary laws or some such, but there are individuals who do make them. Like us and you. According to this forum site, link above, the gentleman who made the repaints for the IFly 737NG FS9 AAL livery, is supposedly doing the FSX repaints and they will be upload to this site as they come available. As of now they only have one addon, in this site for Transvania airlines for the 737ngFSX.

Now that is all hearsay or read-say on the forum. :?:

Hi Sergio,
Paint kit is available here: http://ifly.flight1.net/forums/forum_po ... ad-details

There are a couple of ones for the FS9 version which may help here: http://library.flight1.net/?s=American

Wayne are you sure you can operate an a/c that doesn't have steam gauges???? I know the old eyesight isn't what it used to be. You might have to adjust the CRT's to display a BIG FONT. :lol:
