Well I can personally feel the pain. Been there done that rule applies here.
I guess you using the latest version of FSX ? Oh they don't have one. Are you using win7 sp1, I loaded it up and have had no crashes for some time. I also use the HIMEM fix and others posted on the PMDG forums.
The big thing I find is when I use the FMC enroute of several aircraft the FS program will crash to desktop in a heartbeat with no warning. The FS program doesn't like us to mess with mother the nature of the beast while enroute. I still have the UIautomationcore.dll in my root directory, which I don't know if it still helps or not.
