Annual Type Recert for Kyle

Kyle, it's natural to be a little apprehensive when approaching these annual type recertifications, but take a few words of advice from some of our AAV leaders in this category who have done a dozen or so more of these than you: according to Rick Stevens, "It's a breeze" and Ted Martin said, "It's easier than falling off a log ... and safer, too." Bert Rivera said, "Do it with a 45" but I'm not sure he clearly understood the question. You're never too old to take advice from those with way more experience than you. Then again, just to have a fair disclosure, these guys have been known to sip that fine perfectly aged DFW goat's milk.

For my advice, I would just add the caveat that there is nothing to fear ... depending on who your friends are, and, here at AAV, you know you are in great company with folks who would never tell true stories about you or give you bad advice.

So, if you've made it this far, you are hopefully on the road to a great annual recert with a smile on your face and all this great advice neatly noted on the first few sheets of the extra tp roll every pilot stashes in his ditty bag.

Happy Birthday, Kyle!
