This is going to be a different "game" entirely. Looks like individual area downloads. Guess fling cross continental flying will be a no go. It's going to be a free download. definitely sounds like a game as opposed to a simulation.

Read into the MSflight site from above and it looks like they are releasing a portion of the program so we can enjoy the new and improved MSflight now. It has a free download portion of Hawaii only. This is to "wet our appetite" so when the entire program is released we will be wanting it.

If one looked closely at all the videos they released they are, it appeared, only in Hawaii. They chose that as the starting place for their scenery and such.

And I am sure the payware we bought for FSX will not be usable in the new venue. Why should it? MS wouldn't be that friendly as they dropped the ball on the others.

I think Chris is right. It appears to be a pay as you play platform..at least when it comes to scenery.

Well, as pointed out previously, FSX has plenty of live to it and developers are now really starting to embrace it. So we should have several years of FSX before having to switch to X-Plane (though I've heard a lot of good things about X-Plane).

I think that everyone of us makes mistakes we all are humans after all if MS flight has somethings that are not liked by customers and releasing it like that is a mistake then i think if they learn a lesson from their mistake then the next product after that will be a better one.
