Raymond,
This is the problem with your Saitek controls and FSX controls overwriting each other. The Saitek controllers are assigned automatically in FSX under your joystick menu panelswhich controls them, and also under the main control menu for the functions of FSX keyboard commands. It also would list them as being assigned. They need to be deleted from one of the places, preferably the keyboard command area, and then saved as the default functions, ie. a saved flight. You may also have to reverse the pedal functions for braking which will shut off the brakes when released, done in the joystick assignment area for the pedals

there has been several forum posts about this already. It does take some time and patience to work out the controls functions in FSX.

If you use FSUIPC then that opens up a whole new set of rules.

Good luck.

I have the Saitek pedals with FSX and I did not load the Saitek drivers. Simply connected the pedals to the computer and configured in FSX.

I too had the brake persistence problem. If can be resolved by changing the sensitivity for the pedals and changing the null zone as mentioned above. You don't have to do anything else to get them to work properly. I have my sensitivity for left & right brake set to about 2/3's of full range (slider 2/3's to the right). My null zone is set just slightly above the zero (left most) point. These settings resolved my brake release problem.
