Since I am a member of his HUB, and a Checkride Pilot, and fellow commander, I will make this announcement.

Lets's all congratulate our newest Commander Todd Meek. After years of flying with us and manager of KLAX HUB the honor was bestowed upon him by our checkride pilot Michael Natale.

Todd did an excellent job of displaying his flying skill and willfulness to spend the extra time with our VA to attain this, the highest rate one can go.

Here's to you Todd, Congratulations ! Welcome to our little club.

Fun? Yeah it was, Challenging, that as well. Thank you all for your nice words. It sure did take me long enough, over five years to be exact, but I was determined when I joined to make it up to Commander. I also wanted to get into management and as you can see I did both. This VA has taught me so much about aviation, it just fuels my ambition to go do it in real life but the pocketbook just says no. Maybe someday but for now all my flying will be with AAV. I really like it here and I'm sure I will in the years to come. Thank you Michael for your kind words in your evaluation. I strongly encourage all of our pilots to thrive for this level, it's really worth it.

Actually believe it or not I only had to submit 1 checkride file. Now I practiced it about 7 or 8 times before I even started recording them and then I think I did like 2 or 3 flights while the recorder was going until I was confident enough to send it in for evaluation so in total about 10 or 11 times.
