The latest Prepar3D V2flight simulator

The latest Prepar3D V2 flight simulator is out. I picked it up at $60.00 US. This is not for you "freebie" pilots.
It is and it isn't FSX. It is a foreign company product, even though they are marketing under Lockheed Martin, I am not sure that it is even related to the US based company.
It is sold under an "Academic license". Not for personal use for pleasure gaming. I am sure that is how the licence with Microsoft is used for their use of the software. I bought it purely for my own instruction on virtual piloting and do not play with it as a game.

It uses all the same features, almost, of FSX. The menus are quite different and it is a new learning curve to operate with it.
The features, scenery, operation is the same, however, the core of operation is different. it utilizes the GPU capabilities rather than the CPU. You need a newer DX11 capable video card. Most of the computers we have now would need to be upgraded to handle it. It loads up much, much faster than FSX.
The shading and lighting in the simulator, not a PC game, looks really awesome to me, and much more than FSX could ever achieve.
So far I am able to import many of the payware aircraft I have bought into it. Carenado aircraft work well, A2A B-17 so far. Still working on which ones to import
The payware products from ORBX, FSDreamteam, REX and others are able to be used either now or are releasing the new software to be able to use their products in Prepar3D.
I have it now to work with FSHost. The latest FSUIPC version was designed to work with it, but a bug in the new FSUIPC does not allow it to be recognized correctly. Pete Dowson, designer of FSUIPC is on a long vacation and the forum people say wait until he gets back to fix it.
So far it does what it claims in rendering, operation and overall Instructional operation. It has a ways to go for the it catch up with all my FSX products.
