Happy Bertday to the Bertday Boy Himself

We have a celebrity in our midst on this fine Wednesday!

Bert Rivera, originator of the term, "Bertday", graces us by sharing his Bertday with us, and, in a rare moment of management clarity, AAV management has in parallel declared "Save the Planes" day. This is in honor of Bert's Bertday and is accompanied by a proclamation removing Bert from the rigors of flying duty for this one day. Also, in honor of Bert's Bertday, and this proclamation, AAV maintenance crews are standing down to minimal staffing as when Bert is on vacation or off duty.

So, given all the above reasons for everyone to celebrate, please sure to remember the reason and wish Bert a very Happy Bertday.

Thank you gentlemen, it's been a great day. As a Bertdayâ„¢ present, we got the news that our offer for the new Casa de Bert has been accepted. Finally buying a house and settling down! It's a good thing I've been given a reprieve from flying duties because I'm going to be busy planning my new armchair pilot's station where I will be sure to punish many more struts in the years to come. :D

Nice. Finally buying a house and settling down. Where did you decide to settle at? I'm controlling at PHX now so you better not break any struts on my runways.

LOL Settling down in Sterling, VA. It will probably be a while before I can break any struts at PHX. Did I mention how much I LOVE moving?
