Inaugural Trans-Pacific flight of Pan American Airways "China Clipper" 11/22/1935

Post by Harold Henderson »

An FSX attempt at a somewhat accurate re-enactment of the first flight of the China Clipper, a Martin M-130 flying boat operated by Pan American Airways. On November 22, 1935, Pan Am launched the first trans-pacific airline service, ushering in a new age for aviation, and creating geopolitical ripples extending to WWII.

Harold,
Great find, thanks for sharing. I didn't think you would use stellar navigation within the sim because I didn't think the developers took any time to map star positions. However I watched his video tutorial on using the Bubble Sextant and now have a lot better understanding of 1) actually how the sextant works, and 2) how it can be used within the sim.
