Apparent pilot's handbook ambiguity, code share flights for Captain

The chapter 4 of our Handbook at http://www.aavirtual.com/handbook.php states the:
```
AAV also provides One World and code share flights for our pilots subject to the following restrictions:
1. Pilots ranked Captain and below may fly any code share flight which departs and lands within the United States.
2. Pilots ranked Senior Captain and above may fly any code share flights.
```

whereas the subsequent chapter "8.1 Ranks, Qualification, and Benefits" states the Captain can fly "Any" Code Share and Partner Flights.

This opens slight ambiguity on whether the Captain can fly the code share flights outside of US.

Absolutely not a big deal, just minor thing.

Happy Holidays!

Robert

Section 8.1 is correct. I'll update in the next few days.

Thanks much Michael. There is one more potential ambiguity, this time regarding the Charter flights, same chapters:

Chapter 4 says: "You may fly a total of four (4) "Charter Flights" per month. "

whereas Chapter 8.1 table claims: "4 per bid"

Thanks

Robert

If the clarification is 4 charter flights per bid, then will need to clarify if this is 4/bid regardless of the number of legs in the bid or no more than 40% of legs. If 40% I suggest round down.

If the clarification is 4/month, the HM's will need software support to show how many charters a pilot has flown in the current month without spending the extra time to go to the logbook and look/count.

The 40% (rounded down) per bid is much easier to implement.

Meaning a soft #2 pencil Harold?

Ha ha, Mike. Good one.

I played with the Logbook Search and settled on this query assuming month is "calendar month".

The Pilot's Handbook inconsistencies with regard to charter flight frequency (4 per bid) and Captain qualification for flights outside the United States have been fixed in the 1.9.1 version of the Pilot's Handbook that has now been released to the website.
