Nice pics Bert. Here are a few more of our Tour adventure. My weather was hazy all the way so I didn't have those clear pics.

...and Bert at my 7 o'clock. Rick Stevens, Bert Rivera, and myself all crossed the border landing safely in Canada. We had a great time.

I didn't make the session this weekend but I did take some screen shots from last weekend that I'm just getting around to posting.

We are all here ready to taxi to the rwy for t/o (Bert Rivera, Wayne Pierce, Rick Stevens, and myself). Please excuse the "jaggies." Because of some CTD's and display driver crashes I had to delete my FSX.CFG and have FSX create a new one. I want to enable features one at a time so I know what caused the problem if the CTD's come back therefore I have not enabled anti-alising yet. Even though most were flying C337's I show them in Beechcraft Barons because I temporarily forgot how to set VPilot to a different default a/c and didn't have time to figure it out.

It's amazing what you can do when ATC isn't present. Here we are lined up for a formation take off with Bert at point, Wayne on the right wing, me on the left wing, and Rick in the slot. I switched to my C340 because for some reason my C337 cannot keep up with the other guys' C337's. Fortunately better mines prevailed and we didn't actually attempt to t/o in that formation else we would have had plane wreckage all over that rwy.

As a final shot, I'm on the last leg for is session and as we fly west I get a sunset photo opp over the glaziers in Alaska.

During our Tour Across the USA today I saw a strange formation during one of our Alaska legs. Here's a picture of the formation (...anormally) that I took a sight detour to see:

Awesome shots!

4496.8 nautical miles down and it's been a doozie! Just another 1000 miles to go. We are currently in Sand Point, AK (PASD) and we are in a bit of a fuel situation with no pumps at this airport. Hopefully an unplanned stop at nearby Cold Bay next week will solve our problem.

I have a few shots, but first I want to address the doubters out there during our arrival in Sand Point. They will say this is fake. They will allege that I paid or otherwise bribed Dunlop with a case of scotch to photoshop this, but to each their own...

Tonight's flight took us through PAJC, where I had a slight scenery SNAFU...

Here is my version of the diamond formation on the runway and some other choice shots.

Weather has been mostly good to us, but there have been times when the clouds have not cooperated. At all. Flying VFR it was either scrape the ground, or climb into the soup at your own risk.

That's it for tonight! We have about 3 weeks to go before we reach our final destination. Hopefully someone else gets brave enough to join us. Every Sunday afternoon. 6pm Eastern. C'ya!

I surmise that as retribution for hacking his Landing Rate Monitor, Rick hacked into my weather engine. This was the result today. Sorry Ted, I didn't get any pictures of you this week. :(

Join us next week as we finish up the tour with the last 3 legs! Unless you're scared that is. 471 nautical miles and 2 stops to Casco Cove, AK (PAAT). We will start an hour early at 5pm EST to make up for the length.

We will also be discussing plans for the return trip.

FINISHED!!!!

5573 nautical miles in 42 hours and 57 minutes of flight time. This past Sunday we finally landed in Casco Cove without much fanfare or gusty crosswinds. There was some light rain, but nothing a bunch of "seasoned" commanders couldn't handle. Thanks again to Wayne P., Ted, Rick and even Harold who joined us for a short while as our security escort for making it an overall fun trip!

Well, thought maybe I've add a few pics from the final leg of our adventure. I was actually flying the C340 from Carenado. Here you see Bert in the distance.

And finally the group shot. There appears to be a little bit of scenery malfunction here. Also I'm using vPilot and had the default set to a Beechcraft Baron 58 so everyone appears in that a/c. As you could see in Bert's post he was actually flying the C337. I don't really remember what the others were flying. I think Rick was in a Baron 58 and I don't remember what Wayne was flying. From top to bottom is Rick, Wayne, Bert, and myself.

We all had a great time, and sometimes the weather added additional excitement.

A return trip was discussed several times but no concrete plans were laid out. In case folks want to show up this afternoon and start that be aware that I won't be able to make it. We have company coming in from out of town this afternoon. We can start a new thread if ya'll do start the round trip though! :)
