fsinn fsx problem

Post by Rey Ramon »

I just installed FSinn after a long hiatus of not using it. I'd been using sb4 but it started giving me issues. In fact i haven't used it since the last GFI I was in to Reno after it crashed FSX. At any rate, so first issue I had with FSinn is that the servers for vatsim did not load. Not a huge problem as I just had to manually put in a server. Connected fine after that. Next issue..and kind of a big one. I logged on in the Maul just to try out fsinn. Well after everything loaded (ATC and traffic) my level d 767 loaded over me. I know when other traffic connects you may get a flash of their plane super imposed over your own as it joins vatsim...but only for a split second. My maule is still beneath the level d. Where ever i move it moves too. If i pause fsx, it will be gone for a second, but then it comes from a distance (yes you can see it coming) and stops right over me. Not sure what this is all about. Any suggestions. For the record, there are not other 767 connected in drop down of traffic. Very weird.

Rey, An easy fix here and there. When you start up FSINN, go to the SET tab on the FSINN control panel. Open up the NETWORK panel, go to the peer to peer page. Put a check in the box to disable peer to peer, and one in the box to disable peer to peer automatic establishing.
Now, here is another option I have learned about FSINN and frame rates; go to the multiplayer line, also in SET, and use the sliders to turn down the distance that the planes show up on FSINN and turn down the number of planes seen. The less the better. It really help frame rates dramatically.

Also this helps stops FSX crash to desktop
See this link on our forum, I did this some time ago and our own Uncle Harold posted a topic about it also. Put this file in your FSX main directiory UIAtomationcore.dll and it really has stopped the CTD's from happening when you switch panels on screen with the mouse and such
