Old Aircraft question
Hey guys I have a question about an old aircraft and I' m asking mainly the Retro pilots. Does anybody know where to find the VIP panel for the RFP 742 model? Additionally I' ve read somewhere about the panel mod of Edward Cox in this plane. Does anybody know something about that?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Old Aircraft question
I googled the RFP 742 and there is a forum for that aircraft on line. Did not read much though as I do not have a need to.Panagiotis Zervoulias wrote:Hey guys I have a question about an old aircraft and I' m asking mainly the Retro pilots. Re: Old Aircraft question
Well Wayne I google for this the last three days but I didn't manage to find something. Well thank you for the link and I'll see what I can find there. By the way I was expecting a reply from you -and I could bet on that- as you're the really retro pilot here. I forgot to mention that in the first post here! Thanks once more

Re: Old Aircraft question
What's the VIP panel? Is it different than the panel that comes with the RFP?

Re: Old Aircraft question
Hi Mike
Yeah, it is a bit more different. It has three autopilots and it has also the gauge for the control surfaces just to test them in the "before take off checklist". I' ve seen also a modificcation to this panel from someone named "Edward Cox", but I don' t think I can find it somewhere. At least when I google the "Edward Cox panel" here in my system from Greece I don' t get something in google. I don' t know about the google search there as google differs in search from country to country and from Pc to another PC if you know what I mean...

Re: Old Aircraft question
Wayne thanks for your last link, but I've already found it too and I don't think that it helped me. To give you an idea of what I mean just go to YouTube and type "Edward Cox Panel" in search and watch his flight from Moscow (DME) to Barcelona (BCN). Sorry that I don't post the link but I'm writing from my iPod and I'm not home. So take a look at his panel and I'll be waiting for your comments.

Re: Old Aircraft question
I think the abbreviation VIP should stand for Very Impressive Panel. It was a very impressive panel on the video for the 747. It was really jammed with instruments. Well I cannot help you, not that I really did anyway. Good luck finding what your after. I have now no clue where to go.
