I am getting close to finishing up my new and improved flight sim cockpit. Again I opted for the WW2 B-17 type look. I like that plane. I need to put in the quilted fabric, which I bought today, for the headliners and insulation for those way up there flight. This will cover all the wood that is showing. I have ordered the rest of the toggle switches for the engineers panel.
I found a real life simulator company in Canada, IterfaceIT, from whom I purchased a single USB cable 128 switch interface to hook all the toggles to the computer for real live action. It takes the place of the four small ones I had in there originally. I have hooked up two goflight throttle quads for 4 engine throttle, prop, mixture, flaps, spoilers (for the jets I fly) and landing gear control levers in a pedestal. Still with the PFC Yoke and foot rudder controls I had before. I increased the size of the viewing area to a 27" monitor in front and 24" on the sides. It givesme a full 5' of viewing. Looks awesome when the Wideview is engaged.
It is built from wood, this time and aluminum skins. I had a real window from a KC135 my brother gave me over 30years ago and it is now in place. So still some more work to do. Then what?

"Then what?"
Engines, wheels, hydraulics, wings, .... runway.

Re: almost finished
The latest pictures, taken moments ago, of the next work done on the cockpit.
The headliner is now in to protect my thinning Paite from the High altitude cold.
Wiring run where it should. The 4th monitor is operational. And so far it ALL WORKS!
