Christopher Dahlquist wrote:1. When we file with FSACARS, are you guys getting our fuel reports and landing speeds and all such data?
The data is captured on the web site, but we've not done any programming to process, display, or make it available. It's on the todo list.
Christopher Dahlquist wrote:If so is it being put to good use somewhere or graded? What other 'neat stuff can we do with FSACARS?
I plan to sell all the data to Microsoft, along with your home phone number. Expect telemarketing calls from flight schools just in time for the holidays.

One of our other pilots was working on this. I saw a prototype once, but it has not progressed much. It's also on the todo list.
Christopher Dahlquist wrote:2. Minor issue here: When I re-signed on with AAV, for previous hours I put "600 or thereabouts" in the slot. The computer has shortened that to "600 or the" in my profile which just looks silly. Is it possible to erase the extra text so I dont look like a doofus? (less like a doofus)
Your hub manager can edit this field.
Christopher Dahlquist wrote:3. Anothe minor Issue: While filing my first few FSACARS flights I used the ICAO code b738 in the equipment catagorey thinking that it it would translate into "737-800" on the other end. NowI find in my Hub Profile the two entries are listed as separate types of planes entirely. eg ' B738 and 737-800'.
Is it possible to consolidate the two under the usual AAV 737-800 heading?
I can do this by editing the database. Database edits get done faster when I find free lattes, pizzas, beer, ice cream, or flight sim software on my doorstep from a gracious pilot. (If I forget and you don't see a change after a week or so, send me an email).
