I use FSINN on a Vista machine with FSX and never have to file a FP before enabling FSINN. As a mater of fact I always use FSINN to file my online flight plans.
Just to let you know that it is working correctly for someone with Vista & FSX.

I use SB4 for my VATSIM comms as FSINN and my computer don't get along well. I was getting error messages with SB4 every few minutes and if you answer the question wrong it shuts off FSX.Ben Baumgaertner wrote: When I run SB, I get some assertion error but i think that is an error with SB
I read a procedure on the SB4 forum to stop the error messages. I have not a single error message rear its head since then.
I load SB4 outside of the FSX environment. Do not use the menu bar at the top of FSX for addons. I start the SB4 from a shortcut menu ICON on my taskbar. It is not loaded up via FSX. This will do another thing, it will put the SB4 comm sound on a different sound channel from FSX and the volume can be controlled separately from the FSX sounds via your computer sound volume mixer, you can turn down the engine sound and talk this way.
Aside from the automation.dll in the fsx directory some of use the HIGHMEMFIX=1 in the FSX.cfg. I find this has really got rid of a host of problems i used to have.

Re: FSinn
There are three ways to Squawk C. The floating radio ident menu comes up on your screen, mine disappeared some time ago and I can't find it now. Another way is through the main connection program menu under transponder. Then sometimes your radio in you cockpit will activate it.
I have had the Squawk C not work if my radios were not turned on in my cockpit. When you connect to Squawk box make sure you check what type of radio system you have in the aircraft.
Other than that it should be pretty much straight forward to Squawk C.
Check the SB4 forum if it is a continuing problem. I bet they have the answer.
