SunSkyJet KPHL Scenery!

Post by Robert Shepherd »

All....
I don't know if someone pointed out yet, but SunSkyJet released their KPHL FSX scenery... It's VERY nice and FREEWARE. Honestly, I would pay money for this, that's how good it is. Plus the fact that (I don't believe) there is no other KPHL scenery out there.

Check it out and grab it: www.sunskyjet.com

Nice find. Going to try it out soon. I live about 20 minutes for KPHL.

I downloaded this one, and Robert they have a donation bar you can use to "pay" for it.

It looks fine, not FTX stuff but great for the price. I did have some Frame rate issues though with this one, usually I am at 25-30 and this one dropped me down to 9. I hope it was the A/C and the stormy weather.
Thanks for the tip Mr. Robert-S.

I will say..this is nice scenery. Tried it out finally last night. It's accurate..down to buildings around it and in the city. Even has the burnt fuselage on the Southeast side of the airport that they use for fire training. Ups facility is there too..with 18 wheeler rings driving in and out of it. New comcast building is up in the skyline too. Definitely better than stock version of the airport.

This is awesome scenery for freeware. And as for the burnt fuselage, if you get close to it (I landed a heli next to it) it actually becomes a burning inferno with bellowing black smoke (outstanding). However when started the inferno will affect your frame rates while it is on screen.

LOL... I had no idea it was THAT detailed! I flew into it one time since I installed it and just that, from what I saw, was pretty amazing. I need to check out that fuselage!

Their next scenery is KDTW, if anyone hadn't noticed... Will be monitoring their forum for the progress on that one too.

Wayne - I will definately be tossing a few bucks their way. I think they deserve it for this scenery. Also my frames were pretty stable coming in for my landing. I haven't started out at PHL yet though, so we'll see then. I plan to be there tomorrow night - Nice GFI pick, we can play with this scenery.

I was so impressed with the scenery (and especially the burning inferno), I've already tossed some bucks their way  .
