Mr. Fareed Abdool Promotion - COMMANDER

Please join me in congratulating Mr. Fareed Abdool for passing the grueling Command Check Ride and his promotion to Commander. Mr. Abdool joined AAV on December 9, 2009 and reached the rank of Captain on January 25, 2010. On August 7, 2010, Fareed was promoted to Senior Captain. On May 22, 2014 Fareed was promoted to the highest level at AAV and now has the rank of Commander. Fareed, congratulations on passing the commander checkride and completing the milestones required to attain the rank of Commander. Well Done Sir!

Thanks Tom and everyone! Tom I must say I like the congratulatory speech but it sounded more like my retirement speech. Just kidding! Flying for this VA and passing the check rides makes you feel deserving and qualified of the rank you hold. It's not like other VAs that automatically promote you to the next rank when you obtain the required hours. AAV pilots earn their rank and the right to exercise all the privileges that come with it.

Congratulations Farred. Commander is the ultimate achievement. Well deserved and I'm sure your nowhere near the retirement hub. Now you can fly out of any hub and finish your bid at any hub so really not many limitations.
